1. USE THE adhesive-gel
The included gel is transparent, easy to remove when needed, and leaves the floor completely unmarked. Allow the gel to dry for at least 4 hours.
- Tested on wooden parquet, laminate, vinyl, linoleum, and ceramic tiles (not suitable for carpeted floors).
2. Add a decoration
Add a decoration element that matches the interior of the room.
3. Let your cat get used to it
Getting used to the new scratching vase may take some time. It's advisable to keep the old post in use for a while for a gradual transition, as cats feel comfortable in familiar surroundings.
Play with your cat on top of the vase so they can dig their claws into it. More detailed instructions can be found in the user manual.
5 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will it not tip over?
No, because the scratching vase is glued to the floor with special adhesive that comes included in the package.
How can the vase be removed if needed?
To remove the vase, grab it from the upper part and start shaking it back and forth and in circular motions; eventually, the glue will give way. Any residual glue on the floor can be easily scraped off.
How to encourage a cat to scratch?
At first, cats may not realize that the new decorative element is intended for scratching. Therefore, you should set an example by gently grabbing your cat's paws and making scratching motions on the vase. Then, pet your cat and offer its favorite treat. Repeat this process several times over the course of a few days, and your kitty will soon understand that this is their designated scratching vase.
How to take care of the vase?
Over time, cat hairs may accumulate on the vase. Remove them by rubbing a damp cloth or wet hand up and down the surface. Any excess loose fibers can be trimmed shorter with scissors.
What to do with a worn-out MEOWASE vase?
If your cat has lovingly worn out its scratching post, don't rush to throw it away. Send it back to us for re-winding, where we replace the worn sisal rope with a new one. We are committed to sustainable production and conserving natural resources. Thanks to the re-winding service, we can reduce waste and offer your pet a familiar but renewed scratching post.
